Terms
Using Spottr,
means agreeing to these terms.
A short, honest read of the rules you agree to when you use Spottr — what the service is, what counts as acceptable use, how billing works, and where to reach us if something’s unclear.
Acceptance
By using Spottr you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service. The free /start preview remains subject to these terms even before you create a paid account.
The service
Spottr runs always-on AI competitor monitoring on the watchlist targets you add: always-on diffs from public sources (web pages, X, app stores, product-review sites), ranked into opportunity alerts, and rolled up into a Monday-morning weekly digest. See /#features, /#how-it-works, and the full tier breakdown on /pricing.
Acceptable use
Three rules, no more:
- No scraping into Spottr of anything illegal. Don’t add watchlist targets for content you don’t have the right to monitor (private or paywalled material, content you don’t own and aren’t authorised to track). Spottr is built for tracking publicly visible competitor surfaces.
- No resale or rebroadcast of the alerts feed. The alerts you receive are for your internal use. You may summarize them for your team, but you may not repackage, resell, or rebroadcast the raw feed to a third party.
- Single account per person; no sharing of credentials across teams. Team and Agency plans are designed to share access across members of a single organisation — contact us if a Team or Agency seat is what you actually need.
Webhooks & forwarding
When you turn on forwarding, Spottr POSTs alerts to a URL you supply. That delivery is at your own risk. Spottr is not liable for downstream delivery, including — but not limited to — the destination endpoint’s availability, the receiving CRM or system, retry behaviour, idempotency on the consumer side, secrets embedded in the URL, or how the receiving party stores the forwarded payload. Use HTTPS for any hook target, and rotate any URL-embedded tokens on a regular schedule.
Billing
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe as the named payment sub-processor, and the application is hosted and operated on Polsia as the named platform sub-processor. Spottr itself handles no card data. There are no pro-rata refunds for partial periods: when you cancel, your access continues through the period already paid for, and the renewal simply stops. Reactivating a cancelled plan is a fresh checkout through @/lib/stripe-billing — the same flow you used the first time. The full tier breakdown is on /pricing.
Account termination
Spottr may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, violate Acceptable Use, or cause harm to other users or to the platform. Where we can, we will tell you why before we act, and give you a chance to fix the issue.
Intellectual property
Spottr and the Spottr mark are ours. The alerts the service generates are informational — derived from publicly visible sources — and are provided as-is, with no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Don’t rely on them for regulated decisions (legal, financial, medical).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction]. Disputes will be resolved in [venue].
